Meet the Squad!
Sammy (aka Samwise the Brave)
Sammy is our star, an adventurous black cat who likes to get into trouble and make friends.
Sammy is inspired by Matt’s own black cat Samwise, whom we lost a handful of years ago. <3
Nessi (the Loch Ness Monster)
Nessi is a huge animal with an equally huge heart. He loves to make friends and his favorite food is spaghetti!
Once we fell in love with Bami and decided to expand, Nessi was the next logical friend to join the group.
Bami (the Yeti)
Bami lives in a cave with her hive of bees. She loves hanging out with her best friend Yak and picking flowers.
Bami popped into Matt’s imagination one day, and it’s been a delight watching what she does next.
Yak! (the… well, the yak)
Yak lives in the mountains and is best friends with Bami. He loves ice cream and yelling his name for all to hear.
Yak started out alone, but we soon realized that he and Bami would be fast friends… and they are.
Strigoi (the bat)
Strigoi is an adventurous bat, and one of Matt’s first illustrations after Sammy.
We love Halloween and autumn, so Matt focused on that mood when he started illustrating fallenpeachlane.
Sebastian (the hedgehog)
Sebastian is a shy little hedgehog who loves to hang out in the garden. He’s friends with Sammy, but hesitantly so.
Hedgehogs are one of Lindsey’s favorite animals, Sebastian was born when she requested Matt draw one.
Normund (the fruit bat)
Normund loves tasty fruits, hanging upside down, and staying just out of reach of danger.
Fruit bats are another of Lindsey’s favorite animals and another special request for Matt.
